Brazilian, 38 years old, resident of Rio de Janeiro.
My fascination for multicultural and multilingual environments made me live abroad for many years: Venezuela, France, Italy, Denmark and Sweden. During this period I also took the opportunity to travel extensively, having visited over 20 countries.
When I returned to Rio in 2004, I decided to use my travel background, strong quality orientation and attention to detail to offer a high standard of service as a personal guide in Rio. Since then, I have taken thousands of people on private tours in Rio de Janeiro.
I am usually hired in advance either by Rio’s travel agencies, by people who found me on prestigious publications such as Lonely Planet or Petit Futé, by tourists who have recommended me their friends and relatives visiting Brazil or by people who found me on the Internet. My excellent reputation as a Rio de Janeiro private guide has been built through my extensive knowledge of Rio combined with the friendly, courteous and professional service I always provide.

To earn such a license it is necessary to take a comprehensive tour guide course authorized by the Rio de Janeiro State Council of Education. Therefore this card prooves that I have been fully-trained.
Spoken Languages
In Brazil the official language is Portuguese and the great majority of people do not speak foreign languages, many of those working in the tourism sector (even tour guides!). The fact is that you may come across people who are even able to speak basic English or Spanish but not able to completely understand.
You can be sure that during our tour you will hear me loud and clear as well as be fully understood. I speak fluently English, French, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese.
During my years abroad I have put an enormous effort to reach fluent level in all languages I speak and the result of this effort is reflected on the diplomas I have earned. The diplomas and certificates here below are at levels C1/C2, the highest levels in the Council of Europe Common European Framework:
- English – CPE (Certificate of Proficiency in English – Cambridge)
- Français – DALF (Diplôme Approfondi de Langue Française)
- Italiano – CILS (Certificazione di Italiano come Lingua Straniera)
- Español – DELE Superior (Diploma de Español como Lengua Extranjera)
